USG CODE
The Undergraduate Student Government Code is the positive codification of all law, meaning it is a single, easily-accessible document containing all the present permanent laws of the Undergraduate Student Government. It ensures that the intention and the meaning of all permanent laws passed by the Senate of the Undergraduate Student Government are preserved and enforced. It is similar in function and organization to the United States Code, giving a clearly written account of what laws are currently in force.
The Code is updated and maintained by the Office of Law Revision. The members of this Office are appointed by the Executive Vice President and the President Pro Tempore of the Senate, and serve at the pleasure of the Executive Vice President. These individuals are to be appointed without regard to political affiliation and solely on the basis of ability to perform their duties. Usually, the Office is comprised of a minimum of five people, a majority being voting members of the Senate.
