<div></div>
<div>For those of you whose club/organization plan on being active during the summer, the summer budget is now available. &nbsp;Click this link for the budget application: <a href="http://stonybrookusg.org/storage/Summer%20Budget%20Application%202013.xlsx">Budget Application</a>. The deadline for submission is&nbsp;<strong>5:00 pm on Monday, May 20th</strong>. &nbsp; No late submissions will be considered. &nbsp;Submit the budget by email to bmcilvain@stonybrookusg.org.</div>
<div></div>
<div><strong>To be eligible for a summer budget</strong>, your club/organization must:</div>
<div></div>
<div></div>
<div>- Currently have line-budget status as of May 2013;</div>
<div>- Plan on being active both Summer Sessions;</div>
<div>- Be Registered with the Office of Student Activities for the 2013-2014 Academic Year;</div>
<div>- Have at least 2 e-board members registered for a Summer Session (Vouchers will still require signatures from all four e-board members, so ensure that all your e-board members are available during the summer before deciding that you need a budget.).</div>
<div></div>
<div></div>
<div>When making your budget, take into account that the budget must be approved by the summer senate. The summer senate cannot meet until Summer Session I starts, so please do not plan anything for the month of May. &nbsp;Due to limited funds during the summer, there will be&nbsp;<strong>limitations on what will be funded</strong>&nbsp;during the summer as follows:</div>
<div></div>
<div></div>
<div>- No Funds for General Body Meetings;</div>
<div>- No Apparel;</div>
<div>- No Gifts, Prizes, or Awards;</div>
<div>- Only One Paid Coach for those Clubs/Organizations that Require Coaching;</div>
<div>- Any Events Planned using Summer Funds must take place during One of the Two Summer Sessions;</div>
<div>- Purchases Made using Summer Funds must be for the Summer and cannot carry over to the Fall Semester.</div>
<div></div>
<div></div>
<div>These limitations are in addition to those found in the Financial Bylaws and other relevant USG bylaws.</div>
<div></div>
<div></div>
<div>Contact me if you have any questions or concerns. &nbsp;<strong>Once again, email the budget to me by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, May 20th.</strong></div>

<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Each year, the Undergraduate Student Government features the end of the year concert, presented as part of the Stony Brook Concert series. &ldquo;Brookfest,&rdquo; as it is known to be called, is a tradition which dates back to many years of hard work and devotion amongst the members of the Undergraduate Student Government to support a concert for the students at SBU. I would like to recognize the perseverance and dedication of Vice President of Student Life P.J. Abelein and ASAB Director Zachary Guarnero, for facilitating the planning and execution of this concert, along with other members of the current USG administration.</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; For the first time ever, in Stony Brook history, the end of the year concert will be held in the Lavalle Stadium- this marks the first outdoor concert in the stadium. The concert will take place on Thursday, April 25th, 2013 at 7pm, and tickets will go on sale Monday, April 22nd, 2013.</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; As President of the Undergraduate Student Government, and on behalf of USG, it is my honor and privilege to officially announce the artists to perform, (chosen by the Student Activities Board), at the end of the year concert:</p>
<p>Opener: Grouplove</p>
<p>Headliner: LUDACRIS</p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; For more information about ticket sales, etc., please keep updated with the USG website (<a href="http://www.sbusg.org/">www.sbusg.org</a>), Facebook and Twitter pages. I look forward to seeing everyone participate and attend this momentous event at Stony Brook University!</p>
